Examination Structure
Exit examination: 1 written paper, a paper OSCE and an oral.Requirements
In order to be allowed to apply for a subspecialty examination you MUST notify the CMSA 6 months before the written examination ie 30 September for the first semester and 31 March for the second semester sets of examinations.
This is not an application merely a written notification that you intend to sit for the examination. In future no late notifications will be allowed.
- 18 months in a numbered subspecialty trainee post.
- Portfolio to be submitted with application for candidates who start their subspecialty training on or after 1 January 2013.
